Lil' Girl Chipboard House

This is a cute little chipboard house that was so fun and easy to make. I filled it with a few picture of myself when I was a little girl. It was amazing to see how much my youngest daughter Adelyn looks like me at that age.

Adelyn's Birthday Banner

This is the banner I made for Adelyn's first birthday. I also made one that says Happy Birthday but it doesn't have the little things hanging from the bottom. I used the XL pendent die from sizzix. This was a really quick and fun project to make.

My Little Sweetheart - 52 Project

This was our first time going to the Mother & Son Sweetheart Dinner Dance. I had such a great time with my little man. There was a live band, which Loch thought was really cool. We danced pretty much the whole time. I hope this will be the first of many, sooooo special!!!!

My first Scrapbooking Expo - 52 Project

Last Sunday I went to my first Scrapbooking Expo. My husband watched the kids and it was wonderful. I wasn't on a schedule and was able to lose track of time for a while. These are the things I picked up with the exception of the Bind-it-all. I found some great deals. My wonderful Mom sent me some money for my birthday. I finally went to Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon and picked up the bind-it-all. I'm so excited to use it!!!! Thanks Mom and Hubby!!!

My Starving Child!!! LOL

My daughter Claire will be three at the end of the month, but she has an appetite of a 16 year old boy. On this particular night she had three helpings at dinner. After dinner she saw some left over crackers on the counter and asked for them. I told her no she just had dinner and she was going to get a tummy ache. I went out of the room and when I came back in this is what I found. She had eaten right through the plastic wrap and ate half of the crackers. Luckily I was able to get the plastic wrap out of mouth. I mean OMG who does that? What a stinker!!!

Messy Night

We took the older two to messy night at Lochlan's school. The school puts this on once a year so the kids can do all kinds of messy things that you might not want to do in your house. (Shaving cream, painting, playdough, sand and water table, stamping, bingo daubers, bubble painting.) We had a great time!!

Hickory Dickory Dock!!

Lochlan had a Tea Party in his Kindergarten class. Each child had to stand up and recite a nursery rhyme and bring a prop. He did so well and he loved his prop b/c he could slide the mouse up and down the clock. Great job Loch!!!!

What a Trooper!!!

I tell you what this little five year old boy is braver than his mother. He didn't cry once, not when it happened and not at the ER. Hopefully this is the first and last of the broken bones.

First Broken Bones OUCH!!!

About three weeks ago we got a call from school that Lochlan had bent his fingers back in gym class. We brought him to the ER and it turned out that he broke his middle and ring finger on his right hand just below his middle nuckles. Apparently he bent them back really far. Of course we took a picture of his X-rays.

After School Snack

Even thought Claire doesn't go to school yet her big brother does. She is lovin' the after school snacks. On this particular day they had chocolate pudding snack packs. YUM YUM!!!!

Keepin' Warm

We roasted marshmallows and burned some color changing pine cones in the fire. Having fun and keepin' warm on a cold Winter day.

The 52 Project

Well if you've been following my blog you'll have noticed I haven't been posting my picture a day. I started out good but it doesn't seem like I can get them uploaded everyday. So I've decided that I going to change it to "The 52 Project) which will be once a week. Hopefully I'll be able to do that. I will be posting some of the pics that I've taken in the last few weeks. One good thing, it will make the album more manageable at the end of the year. I love having my own blog b/c if something isn't working out you can just change it. I not sure who said this but this is one of my favorite quotes "We might not have it altogether but together we have it all".

Little Stinker -Day 5- 365 Project

This is Adelyn, who is almost 10 months, getting into the drawers in the kitchen. I put these cups/bottles in this drawer today. The funny part is she never payed any attention to the drawers before. I should of put them there earlier b/c it kept her busy while I made dinner.

BuRRRRRRR!!! Day 4-365 Project

This is my wonderful hubby blowing out our driveway. We had about 10 inches of snow over the past few days. Thanks Honey!!!!

Snow Angel - Day 3 - 365 Project

Lochlan making snow angels in our backyard. There is something magical about making snow angels. The snow and the wind are freezing but you're laying there nice and warm. Looking up at the sky, snow flakes falling slowly down. Just for a few moments you're free, your worries are gone and you could lay there all day. So the next time you have a minute go outside and make one, if you don't have snow make a sand angel. Be a kid again and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pancakes Day 2 - 365 Project

Breakfast for dinner, gotta love it. The kids were going a little stir crazy today. We had pancakes, sausage and eggs for dinner and my kids loved it. Just after we sat down I think there was about two whole minutes of complete silence. My husband and I enjoyed every second of it. Its those little moments that make you happy and get you through a rough day. I don't know about dinner time at your house but often its not the most peaceful time at our house. Breakfast for dinner is definitely a crowd pleaser. My husband joked "lets have pancakes every night". Well off to watch a movie with my hubby and relax for a bit. Thanks for listening!

Fall 12x12 Layout

OK if you haven't gathered by now I'm behind on my scrapbooking layouts. So when ever I get a chance to do some I will be posting them. Which means that they will have photos from past years, will not always be in order or in the current season/holiday. I know when I look at other blogs I'm usually looking at the layout design and new different techniques. So the colors and themes aren't the most important thing they can always be changed. I hope to inspire someone to get scrappin and have fun!! Thanks for stoppin'.

Winter Wonderland - Day 1 of 365 Project

Winter Wonderland

This is the view from our back hill. We got about 4 inches of snow last night and we're supposed to get another 6 inches today. It was a great day for hot chocolate, chicken soup and grilled cheese. My son and I played Sorry Sliders a new game he got for Christmas. It was a great 1st day of the year!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!

My Own 365 Project!!!!!

My girlfriend told me about this website that challenged you to take a picture a day for a year. Basically capturing the day to day stuff in your life. It could be a pic of the toothpaste left in the sink in your kids bathroom, a beautiful snow covered pine tree out your window or some random thing that catches your eye. I thought it was a great idea!!! Why not do my own and upload them here on my blog. Then I thought what a great scrapbook album that would make. So after the the years over I will make a special album just for these photographs. I will be starting this project on January 1st. I think it will help me appreciate all the little things that make life big, a little photo-therapy!!!!

My Christmas Card

I enjoy making my Christmas cards, but I have to say I'm glad to be done. Making 5 cards is fun making 48 not so much! I used SU ridinghood red card stock and ink, Christmas Punch stamp set and the wide oval punch. I distressed the photo and used Tim Holtz scratching tool and I used vintage photo distress ink with the foam blending tool to give it a vintage look. I also used glossy accent on the snowflakes. Thanks for visiting and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Coaster Christmas Ornament

This is an ornament that I made two years ago. I used a 4x4 square coaster and covered it with patterned paper. Then I added a scalloped square and covered that with patterned paper. Then attached a photo in the center and punched wholes at the top and ran a satin ribbon through to hang on the tree. It made a great little gift for all the Grandparents.

Santa's Comin' to Town!

The kids were sooooo excited to see Santa. I'm glad to report that all went well. Everybody sat on Santa's lap and there was no crying and the line was really short. In fact we saw him twice. Christmas time is so much fun when you can see it through a childs eyes. I came across the most awesome website. My kids went crazy, they were just shocked. They got a personalized message from Santa. Check it out: http://portablenorthpole.tv/home

Arrrr Matey!!!

I had fun making these two layouts. I used some of my great deals from Big Lots. I really like the Twilight paper from Pink Paislee and the scallop die cut paper from making memories. These pictures are from 2007, but I'm slowly getting them done. As long as you're having fun who cares how far behind you are, right? I just love Lochlan's costume. It was just perfect for him and he thought it was sooooo cool.
