Gramma's visit
We had a great visit with my Mom. As usual it went too fast. I miss her already. Saying goodbye this time wasn't to hard b/c we already have another trip planned. It makes it easier when we know when the next time we'll see each other is. I'm so glad she was able go come. Adelyn is at such a great age, really starting to get her own personality. Mom said she feels like she knows her now. We did alot while she was here. Adelyn had her blessing at the Church, we went blueberry pickin', had a picnic at the park, had a yard sale, and Lochlan had his first day of kindergarten. Gramma was a great babysitter and my husband and I were able to go for a motorcycle ride. Thank you Gramma for all your help!!! We LOVE you!!!

Can't Wait!
I can't wait till tomorrow. My Uppercase Living order comes in and I can put some of the finishing touches on my scraproom. I will be taking pictures and hopefully a video. I hope I can figure out how to put the video on my blog otherwise you can view on youtube. I better pick up the rest of the basement, right now it looks like a tornado came through. But that's what I love about the basement you don't have to pick it up everyday or honestly every week. I love my space and can't wait to share it with you.

More Blogging about Scrapbooking
Did I happen to mention that I LOVE to scrapbook. All aspects of it! Organization, shopping, planning layouts, embellishing and flipping through the finished product. I have to admit I do enjoy organizing my scraproom and making it pretty. Its almost as fun as scrapbooking itself. One of my newest obsessions is watching youtube videos of scrapbook rooms. I also go to Two Peas in a Bucket to see pictures of scrapbooking rooms. I love getting new ideas for storage. That is always a big issue. I have learned quite a bit from others videos. I hope to do one soon. I'm almost done organizing (if there is such a thing) my scraproom. I'll be posting some pictures soon. I really hope to share some of my tips, layouts and ideas with you. I love to hear how other people scrapbook and organize their supplies. So please feel free to post a comment.

Puke Puke Puke!
Today was one of the those days that tests you and I'm not sure I passed. Our daughter Claire is having some issues with food textures and a very quick gag reflex. She has been throwing up alot lately. Today was no exception. I had to go grocery shopping today. By the time we got out of the house it was already lunch time. I decided to go to McDonald's on the way out of town. There was a sign that said we're currently not accepting debit and credit cards. I had one dollar on me, I never have any cash. So we left and headed towards another McDonald's closer to the store. The kids were not happy. Claire didn't understand why, she just wanted her nuggets. We arrived at the other McDonald's 25 minutes later. We waited in the drive thru line and finally got up there. What did the voice from the box say "sorry we're not able to accept debit or credit cards right now". Now I had to leave again without getting any food for the kids. Claire was screaming and hungry and Loch was concerned about what we're going to do. So I went to our bank to get some cash from the atm and wouldn't you know it temporarily out of order. So I pull around to go inside. Sign on the door says lobby closed temporarily. At this point I'm think you have got to be kidding me. So I pulled around to the window to write myself a check. The ladies informed me that someone hit a pole line and all the credit and atm machines were down in town and surrounding towns. Anyway we got the cash and I got the kids their happy meals. Then after eating in the car and breastfeeding the baby we were off again. I loaded everybody into the cart and headed towards the kids/baby department. I picked up the diapers and wipes and then I heard it. That noise that Claire makes. Its kind of like a gag cough. It came out of nowhere she wasn't coughing and she wasn't eating any kind of weird textured foods. I tried to calm her with your ok, its ok. It didn't work, once she makes that noise it's to late. I grabbed Adelyn's blanket to help contain it. It didn't work all that well. She got it all over her shirt, shorts and in her hair. Meanwhile the baby is crying at the top of her lungs and Lochlan is dancing around saying I have to go pee I have to go pee. I was about to give up right there and then. I ripped open the wipe box so I could clean her up a little. Then I picked out an outfit and I changed her right there. Did I mention that I don't do very well with puke. I'm trying to keep from puking as well. After we cleaned up I took Loch to the bathroom. I was going to leave and come back without the kids, but Claire was fine. So we pushed on and got the groceries. Then on the way home she pooped her pants and leaked out of her diaper. So those pants that I bought lasted about 45 minutes before they were stained with poop. We got home and I put Claire down for a late nap and sat down to feed the baby. I was exhausted!! Why am I staying up this late to write this, I don't know. Good Night!!!

How Time Flies!
We just celebrated our sons 5th birthday. How can that be? Last week we signed him up for T-ball. Today his teacher came over for a home visit and gave him his kindergarten tub. Kindergarten and t-ball, he's getting soooo big. I swear the day after his birthday he grew three inches and looked like he was ten. Usually he chunks up around his birthday then grows taller and evens out, but not this year. He never chunked he just stayed tall and slender. He is really becoming a handsome young man. His vocabulary amazes me all the time. One word that he has been using and that just cracks me up is per se. We also signed him up for swimming lessons. And so it begins Moms taxi service. I can't wait, what fun we have ahead of us!!!

Mother's Day
One thing I love about having my own blog is that I can write on it when ever I want. Three times a day or not for 2 weeks. Yesterday was Mother's day, I had a pretty good day. The weather was cold, so my plans for playing outside with the kids and planting flowers didn't happen. So we played inside and took it easy for a while. We had donuts from the local bakery that was a nice treat. The kids each gave me a card that they picked out with daddy and inside was a gift card for Home Depot to get some more flowers. My husband surprised me with a mac laptop and wireless internet. I'm so happy!!!! Lately with having to feed Adelyn so often, I'm sitting in the living room breastfeeding and thinking of all the other things I could be getting done. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the time I have with her but I could also be paying bills, responding to emails, keeping up with my Uppercase Living job and writing in my blog. So there I was feeding Adelyn in the chair in the living room surfing the web and watching HGTV, life's good!!
After Claire woke up from her nap we went over to John's parents house to say happy mother's day to his mom and give her her gift. I thought we could go to home depot after that so I could pick out some new flowers. We stayed at John's parents a little longer than I thought we would. It was 5:30 by the time we were leaving so I decided that I wanted Chinese for dinner and after that we could go get flowers. This was the first time that all five of us went to a restaurant together. I told John that I could handle the baby and keep her happy if he would help the other two with their food.
As soon as we sat down the baby started to cry, she was hungry, so I started to feed her. John went and got the kids their food everything was going pretty good, Claire tipped over her choc. milk but only a little bit spilled out. John probably made 10 trips back and forth getting everyone their food. We were about half way through when Claire got that too familiar look on her face and started to gag. Once that happens we know she's going to get sick. Sure enough John's holding her hair back while she is puking into a plate on the table. By the time it was done she had filled up two plates. I don't know whats with me but in recent years I can't handle the smell and start to gag. So our poor little girl just puked up her dinner, I'm next to her gagging and trying not to throw up. All the while Loch's saying how gross it is and that he can't watch and mommy mommy please don't do it. John and I both said in unison Lochlan be quiet!! Luckily I didn't get sick and Adelyn was very good during the whole thing since I had to put her down quickly to help Claire.
After all of that we were pretty much done. Then we went by McDonalds to get Claire a chix nugget and apple dippers. We went over to home depot to get some flowers and they had just closed. That was a big bummer b/c it was going to be nice to have some help with the kids while I picked stuff out.

Girl Scout Sabotage!
Why is it that the girl scout cookies I ordered are delivered the same day my Dr. gives me the o.k to start working out. I ordered 3 boxes each of caramel delights and peanut butter patties and 1 box of thin mints. When I ordered these sinful cookies I was nine months pregnant. I have zero will power when they are already in my house.
Mom she's touching me!
We went to the garden center like I promised Loch. Again the baby was pretty good. The other two were like straight out of a movie. She's touching me, he's poking me, he's on my side, she hit me. I think I threaten them half a dozen times that we're going to leave and not get anything. By the time we were checking out the baby was screaming and the other two were still at each other. The cashier sort of got a kick out of it all. I hate when people say "oh you got your hands full" oh ya think! I always thought it was sort of weird when I heard other mother's say that they never go shopping with their kids. I'm starting to become a fan!!
6 week check-up
Well yesterday was interesting. I had my 6 week check up with my surgeon. It was the first time I took all three to the doctors by myself. Just before we left Loch's nose started bleeding again. If you are like me, you don't have any extra time for this sort of thing. We were late!! We still had to wait a bit in the office and in the exam room. At least the Dr. was quick, he gave me the o.k. The baby was great she was sleeping the whole time. It's the other two who have been monsters lately. Claire is screaming and stomping around b/c she wants to be up on the exam table. I told them both no, that made it worse. Oh well they have to learn that you don't always get what you want.

Do something GREEN today!!
My son wants to plant a garden this year. So I told him we could go to the garden center and see what we could find to get things started. My son is really trying to reduce, reuse and recycle. He is watching me like a hawk with water usage and turning things off when you aren't using them. He is very curious about recycling. He keeps asking me what kind of things you can recycle. I'm going to take the time to teach him and answer his questions. I want him to live green and be aware.
Be Thin Again
Let me tell you what my goal is, to be thin again. Its funny, and by funny I mean not funny at all, how you can get used to the size that you are. It happens gradually and you just sort of get used to it. But hear is how you give yourself a wake up call. Have your husband take a picture of you playing with your kids at the beach. That happened to me last summer and it was disgusting. I thought who was that fat person. I don't really have alot of money or time to go to a gym, so I bought some workout videos. I started using them and I could feel and start to see a difference. The energy level alone was worth it, my husband could tell the days that I worked out. But then we sold our house and moved. Two kids and packing and unpacking your whole life sort of takes up all your time. Then about three weeks after moving into the new house I found out I was pregnant with our third. That put a halt to my plans of working out.
But I have decided that no one is going to do it for me. I will never be truly happy if I'm over weight. I have never really been an over weight person. I was always thin and athletic. It is weird to me that there are some people that have only known me like this and they think of me as a overweight person. In my mind I'm not.
I love food so I know taking away the foods I love will not work. I would probably gain more. So the key for me is to exercise, have smaller portions and drink more water and less pop. As soon as I'm healed enough I'm going to start exercising. We will see how it goes.

Three C-Sections
My son was ten days over due. I went to the hospital twice to be induced. It didn't work the first time and then the second time the baby's heart rate dropped and they did an emergency c-section. The hospital and doctor I have don't do v-bacs so I ended up having two more c-sections. While they were in there this last time they also tied my tubes. Recovery of a c-section has been different every time. This time I'm mentally ready to start exercising, run around with my kids and be "normal" again. My body on the other hand has a different idea. It has been 6 weeks and I'm still having pain when I walk to much. My husband has been worried, he even called the doctor. I didn't want to b/c I knew they were just going to tell me to take it easy. But running after two older ones and taking it easy don't exactly work well together.
What a Bloody Mess
This morning I found a bump on the back of Claire's head. I don't know where it came from but she keeps complaining about it. I'm checking email this morning and my son comes up to me with two hands full on blood and it all over his face and running down his chin. I rushed him into the kitchen and put the baby down. At first I didn't know where it was coming from. I realized that he had a bloody nose. I asked him if he was picking his nose he said yes. I told him not a good idea. It took a while to stop it. He managed to get it all over the couch, carpet and his clothes. I used a spray bottle of oxi clean and it came right out. It looks like Claire's sore neck is from sleeping on it the wrong way.
Can't get out
Why is it that I can't seem to get out of the house before lunch time. Then it's lunch time and everybody has to eat the baby eats every two hours and takes at least a half hour to eat. Therefore it seems as though I'm feeding her all the time. Then after lunch is nap time and if you skip that it's always a gamble. I can't wait till the weather is nice enough to open the windows and let the kids run around.
