My Own 365 Project!!!!!

My girlfriend told me about this website that challenged you to take a picture a day for a year. Basically capturing the day to day stuff in your life. It could be a pic of the toothpaste left in the sink in your kids bathroom, a beautiful snow covered pine tree out your window or some random thing that catches your eye. I thought it was a great idea!!! Why not do my own and upload them here on my blog. Then I thought what a great scrapbook album that would make. So after the the years over I will make a special album just for these photographs. I will be starting this project on January 1st. I think it will help me appreciate all the little things that make life big, a little photo-therapy!!!!

My Christmas Card

I enjoy making my Christmas cards, but I have to say I'm glad to be done. Making 5 cards is fun making 48 not so much! I used SU ridinghood red card stock and ink, Christmas Punch stamp set and the wide oval punch. I distressed the photo and used Tim Holtz scratching tool and I used vintage photo distress ink with the foam blending tool to give it a vintage look. I also used glossy accent on the snowflakes. Thanks for visiting and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Coaster Christmas Ornament

This is an ornament that I made two years ago. I used a 4x4 square coaster and covered it with patterned paper. Then I added a scalloped square and covered that with patterned paper. Then attached a photo in the center and punched wholes at the top and ran a satin ribbon through to hang on the tree. It made a great little gift for all the Grandparents.

Santa's Comin' to Town!

The kids were sooooo excited to see Santa. I'm glad to report that all went well. Everybody sat on Santa's lap and there was no crying and the line was really short. In fact we saw him twice. Christmas time is so much fun when you can see it through a childs eyes. I came across the most awesome website. My kids went crazy, they were just shocked. They got a personalized message from Santa. Check it out: http://portablenorthpole.tv/home

Arrrr Matey!!!

I had fun making these two layouts. I used some of my great deals from Big Lots. I really like the Twilight paper from Pink Paislee and the scallop die cut paper from making memories. These pictures are from 2007, but I'm slowly getting them done. As long as you're having fun who cares how far behind you are, right? I just love Lochlan's costume. It was just perfect for him and he thought it was sooooo cool.
